Abstract:
In the integrated radar and communication system based on the orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) waveform, the communication modulation information has great influence on the ambiguity function. To solve this problem, the specific expression of the ambiguity function is derived, which proceeds from the signal model of the integrated radar and communication system based on OFDM. Moreover, the effect of communication modulation information on the ambiguity function is discussed. Then, a novel method of communication information pre-modulation is proposed. The communication information of different OFDM symbols possesses excellent aperiodic auto and cross correlated properties. Theoretical analysis and simulation results show that the proposed method can effectively deal with the problem that the ambiguity function of the integrated waveform is sensitive to the communication information.
