Abstract:

The wideband Gaussian spectrum noise signal is widely used in modern radar due to its characteristics of no distance sidelobe and hardware-generating easily. But the noise signal is Doppler sensitive, and the Doppler sensitive characteristic in wideband noise signal is reflected both in Doppler shift and envelope stretch, owing to the Doppler dispersion effect exists in high speed target detection. To illustrate the influence of the Doppler dispersion on matched filtering, the expression of generalize correlation function with wideband Gaussian spectrum noise signal is derived, and the relationships between Doppler dispersion product and both the signal to noise ratio loss and range resolution are analyzed quantitatively in the case of no Doppler shift. For this problem, taking the starting point as tht real time system, an improved multi-channel processing algorithm in frequency domain is proposed, then the performance and complexity of the algorithm are evaluated. The validaty of theoretical analysis and algorithm is verified by the simulation results.
