Abstract:

The complete protecting path cannot be established in the sparse scenario, and thus the reliability of the endtoend path decreases. An adaptive partial multipath protecting mechanism which suits for the dynamical topology is proposed. Firstly, 〖JP2〗the endtoend path is divided into several segments, and then the protecting path can be established in according with the current network topology, thus the reliability of the endtoend path is enhanced effectively. Simulations show that the network performance such as packet delivery ratio, endtoend delay and route discovery times are improved by using the proposed adaptive partial path protecting mechanism.
