Abstract:

Focused on the problem that waveform distortion caused by the colored noise environment and low snapshots, a beamforming algorithm in colored noise environment based on the constrained Kalman filter is proposed. Firstly, the cost function of the beamformer is used to build the status and measurement equation. Secondly, the first order markov modeling is carried out on the measurement of the colored noise to extend the measurement equation. Finally, the Kalman filter algorithm is utilized to calculate the array weight vector. The proposed algorithm eliminates the performance degradation caused by the colored noise through the colored noise prewhiten. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm has faster convergence speed and higher output SINR in the colored noise environment and low snapshots, and the sidelobe level of the beam pattern is obviously alleviated.
