Abstract:

Radio frequency (RF) stealth is one of the most important properties of the new generation military aircraft, and the influence of radio frequency on RF stealth is analysed. A definition of stealth efficiency is given based on acquisition range. Considering the influences of free space attenuation, atmospheric absorption and rainfall attenuation synthetically, the relationship between acquisition range and radio frequency is discussed, and the calculating method is given. In consideration of different operating ranges and different weather conditions, the influence of radio frequency change on RF stealth performance is simulated in the 10~40 GHz frequency band. The result shows that, in the 10~40 GHz frequency band, radio frequency has a great influence on the performance of RF stealth, the stealth efficiency can increase by about 10% by selecting the optimum frequency, at the same time, and the operating range and weather condition can also affect the performance of RF stealth to a certain extent.
