Abstract:

Passive radar achieves target detection by passively receiving the reflected third-party illuminator of opportunity. Therefore high quality reference signal acquisition in reference channel and direct wave suppression in target channel are both key technologies to realize the target correlation detection. This paper studies the reference signal reconstruction technology in digital terrestrial multimedia broadcasting (DTMB) based passive radar, and discusses the influence of reference signal purity on target detecting performance combining time domain direct wave suppression methods with matched filtering. Simulation and real data processing results demonstrate that the reference signal is well reconstructed. Improving the purity of reference signal is helpful to enhance the passive radar performance.
