Abstract:
Radar usually transmits the pulse wave with low dutycycle, on the contrary, communication transmits the continuous wave to maximize the information transmission rate. For problems existed in the utilizing radar waveform carry information such as low communication rate and the modulation waveform reduces detection capacity, a radarcommunication compatible waveform based on the step frequency signal is proposed. At first, the model of the integrated step multifrequency shift keying (MFSK) signal is built by combining the MFSK modulation and step frequency signal. Then, its ambiguity function and autocorrelation features are derived, and the impact of the carried information on the detection power of radar function is analyzed. Finally, the information demodulation method is given. The simulation results verify that the proposed signal is able to obtain ideal radar detection capacity and high rate reliable communication.
