Abstract:

Spacetime interpolation method implements interpolation transformation on the spacetime steering vectors of the clutter. It can effectively mitigate the rangedependence problem of the forwardlooking airborne radar clutter and improve the clutter rejection performance of the spacetime adaptive processing (STAP). However, it annuls to process the received clutter data when the antenna element error exists. Aiming at this problem, a robust spacetime interpolation method is proposed. The proposed method selects calibration steering vectors around the spacetime steering vector of the ground clutter, then implements the interpolation transformation, and compensates the clutter with the rangedependence problem. The simulation results show that the proposed method can effectively mitigate the rangedependence problem existing in the clutter and improve the clutter rejection performance of STAP when the antenna elements error exists in the receiving channel in forwardlooking airborne radar.
