Capture capability of DGG against maneuvering targets

Abstract:

In order to overcome the complexity of the capture conditions in the Frenet coordinate system, the capture capability of the differential geometric guidance law attacking maneuver targets is analyzed based on the Frenet coordinate system. Firstly, based on the missile and target relation, the geometric guidance command in time domain is derived, also the relative velocity coordinate system is built to analyze the capture condition for convenience. Secondly, based on the direction of the target acceleration, the relative motion area between missile and target is partioned into three subsets, then the initial condition for capture is obtained in the three subsets and their boundary, the course is also derived and proved combined with knowledge of plane geometry. Simulation results show that the capture conditions of the differential geometric guidance law analyzed are correct and effective.
