Abstract: D-S evidence theory is a useful method for dealing with uncertainty problems, but its application is limited by the shortcomings of combination rules. In order to combine highly conflictive evidence efficiently,a new method based on the distance of the bodies of evidence is proposed.Firstly,a distance function between the bodies of evidence is introduced. Then, the support degree and the credibility of each evidence are obtained. After weighted averaging the evidence in the system, the Dempster combination rule is used to realize information fusion.Compared with the existing methods, the proposed approach is more efficient in combining conflict evidence.Simulation examples show that the validity and rationality of this algorithm.
