Abstract:

Coupled vibration is used to model and analyze underwater acoustic propagation from a new perspective on the base of sound propagation mechanism. Formulas of acoustic energy transmission are obtained from electrical analogy, Laplacetransform and Ztransform. The sound transmission function of multiple driving sources is used to model multipath channel sound propagation in shallow water. The physical meaning of this model is clear and easy to carry out the analysis of each the sound ray, as well as surface and bottom acoustic characteristics. Furthermore, the theoretical analysis and pool experiment of multipath signal decomposition are carried out. The result shows that the affection among multipath channels is a linear superposition relation and mutual unmodulated. The proposed method can effectively separate the sound ray of multipath channel and draw the system function of each subchannel.
