Abstract:

To meet the new network demand of aeronautic swarm operation in the future, a new concept named as “aeronautic swarm cloud network” is proposed, and the coupling mechanism between the communication and mission demand is designed which provides the reference for the concrete technique of aeronautic swarm network. Based on the concept and mechanism, a media access control (MAC) protocol combined with orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA)-based variable-width channel allocation is designed. The mission demand cognitive mechanism for the proposed protocol is designed in detail, which provides transmission support for intelligent mission planning and decision, the mission demand oriented hierarchical reservation method for channel resource and the greedy reservation algorithm are put forward based on the characteristic of OFDMA and the thinking of mission demand. Simulation results show that the aeronautic swarm cloud network oriented MAC protocol (ASCN-MAC) has a strong advantage in transmission support ability for intelligent mission planning and decision, throughput and real-time. The research has a certain referential significance or value for the new generation of aviation data link research for the new form of operation.
