Abstract:
A passive ranging method with a single pulse based on equallength baseline interferometers is proposed for the passive location system. The method uses at least three antennas to compose equal-length baseline interferometer pair. The phase ambiguity can be canceled out by the phase differences of equal-length baseline interferometers with the same 2π ambiguity numbers, and the range of the emitter can be computed by combining the direction of arrival.Based on introduction of the theory and unambiguous condition of the method the performance of the algorithm is analyzed and verified by computer simulations.
