Abstract:

To meet the demand of the three-dimensional imaging of the complex environment in lowaltitude space area, the model of spiral synthetic aperture radar (SSAR) is established and the corresponding algorithm is proposed. This model has the three-dimensional resolution capability through a means of transmitting frequencymodulated signals in the range direction and forming two synthetic apertures in the azimuth direction and elevation direction. The SSAR imaging algorithm consists of the spatial offset correction and the extended omega-k algorithm. The complex “spiral” mode is simplified into the “hovertogo” mode by the spatial offset correction in the azimuth direction and elevation direction, and then the threedimensional imaging in the “hovertogo” mode is implemented by the extended omega-k algorithm. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm is validated through simulation results.
