Abstract:

The range azimuth azimuth 3-D imaging results of targets can be obtained by using 2-D synthetic aperture and transmitting wideband signals. A high adaptability 3-D imaging algorithm based on 3-D matched filtering is proposed. Firstly, the position of imaging focus is selected and the echoes of focus are calculated. Then the 3-D matched function which equals to the inverse conjugate echoes of imaging focus is calculated. Finally 3-D imaging by 3-D matched filtering between the target echoes and the matched function is realized. This novel imaging algorithm has simple procedure and high adaptability. It can be used in many 2-D synthetic apertures which have kinds of forms such as rectangle, circle, triangle and other anomalistic forms. And it has an obviously higher imaging resolution than that of conventional imaging algorithm. The detailed theory analysis and typical examples are given to verify its validity.
