Abstract:

In the presence of distributed jamming, a detection and tracking technique is proposed for the radar network, which is based on a new radar observation equation. The technique involves two steps: radar observation equation in the presence of distributed jamming and radar network sequence filtering. The observation equation calculates the detection probability based on the signal-to-jamming ratio of the radar receiver and then simulates the sensor’s targets detection condition in the presence of distributed jamming. The radar network sequence filtering algorithm serially merges the measurement data from the radar network and compresses them in the presence of distributed jamming, and then tracks the compressed data using sequence filtering based on the interacting multiple model. The detection technique can simulate the transient vanishing phenomenon of observed targets due to a low detection probability. The tracking technique can enhance the continuity and stability of the radar network target tracking. Simulation results verify the feasibility and validity of the proposed technique.
