Abstract:

Based on minimum error principle,a demodulation model is proposed for nonsinusoidal orthogonal modulation signals. The error rate is analyzed theoretically at additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) for this communication system. The result shows that the error rate performance is the same with orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM), and the bandwidth efficiency can be fast improved and is better than OFDM. The complexity degree is analyzed for the demodulation model, which is higher than OFDM, but the modulation method can also be used in LF to VHF.
