Abstract:

Long baseline bistatic airborne radar is a new radar configuration mode. Comparing with bistatic radar, it has several advantages, such as wide detectable distance, various working modes. However, further study is required that what is the ground clutter distribution of the long baseline bistatic airborne radar configuration and how does the long baseline bistatic airborne radar configuration affect the spacetime adaptive processing. An approach to the clutter distribution analysis of the long baseline bistatic airborne radar is proposed. Firstly, the clutter distribution analysis and the relationship among the configuration parameters are provided. Secondly, the relationship between the clutter distribution and bistatic radar system configuration and detection range is analyzed, and its influence on the space time adaptive processing is also discussed. Finally, the computer simulation results show the validity of the proposed approach.
