Abstract:
The single carrier frequency division multiple access (SC-FDMA) scheme taking discrete Fourier transform spread orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (DFT-S-OFDM) as the core of technology has been adopted as the third generation partnership project-long term evolution standard for uplink transmission. In this paper, a novel MIMO DFT-S-OFDM system based on modulation diversity is proposed. Combining with effective use of time diversity and space diversity, this proposed scheme joints the Turbo coding and modulation diversity together, and provides high-performance, high spectral efficiency and low error rate under the fading channel. The simulation results show that under the optimum rotation angle, the proposed scheme outperforms the conventional MIMO DFT-S-OFDM scheme based on bit-interleaved coded modulation with a little increase in complexity.
