Parameter estimation of hybrid DS/FH spread spectrum signals based on adaptive decimating STFT

Abstract:

A new parameter estimation method for hybrid DS/FH spread spectrum signals is addressed, which employs adaptive decimation based STFT. It uses the decimation to realize the time-frequency representation with adaptive window width based on the filter-bank realization of STFT. Since the computational burden caused by the direct change of window width is alleviated, the proposed method is easy to realize for the reconnaissance receiver. The method is illustrated with BPSK_DS/FH signals and the simulation results show that the proposed method is effective for the parameter estimation.
