Long baseline direction finding algorithm of wideband signal based on time delay correction

Abstract:

The long baseline direction finding algorithm of wideband signal is discussed. The traditional direction finding algorithm is limited by the requirement of unwrapping phase ambiguity, so antenna apertures are short and the precision cannot be improved. Based on the high precision of wideband signal time delay estimation, direction finding algorithm of wideband signal based on time delay correction and unwrapping phase ambiguity algorithm are presented. The performances and using conditions are analyzed in detail. As the baseline length is not restricted by the traditional methods, the algorithm can achieve very high precision on the condition of long baseline. The simulation results show that the algorithm can achieve very high precision of direction finding by using less antenna arrays.
