Abstract:

The phase compensation has a great impact on inverse synthetic aperture radar (ISAR) imaging results. The cause of phase errors according to the ISAR imaging theory is derived. For Doppler centroid tracking phase compensation algorithm, the influence of the cross intersection of different scattering centers on the Doppler centroid is analyzed. The paper separates the multi-scattering clusters based on the CLEAN algrithm. And the expanded range profile is established. A new compensation algorithm based on the expanded range profile is proposed. The algorithm can decrease the intersection effects on Doppler centroid caused by the multi-scattering centers. The phase error compensation precision is promoted. The experiment result shows that the algorithm has a good performance in phase error compensation of ISAR imaging, especially in the noisy environment.
