Abstract:
To solve the problem of low Doppler resolution caused by short coherent integration time (CIT), leading to the failure of detecting ship targets from the strong sea clutter, a sea clutter suppression algorithm based on higher order singular value decomposition (HOSVD) is proposed. Firstly, the sea clutter coherence of adjacent units is utilized, so the receiving multi-pulse data from the adjacent distance units and orientation units are represented by the three-dimensional tensor. Then the projection matrix of sea clutter subspace and orientation subspace for the three-dimensional tensor is solved by the HOSVD method. Finally, the projection matrix is carried out to map the three-dimensional tensor to the target subspace to suppress sea clutter. Compared with the existed sea clutter suppression methods of subspace, this method increases the signal to clutter plus noise ratio (SCNR) and the peak sidelobe level ratio (PSLR), solves the problem of target peaks shift.
