Abstract:

The intermittent sampling repeater jamming (ISRJ) technology is a clever coherent multi-false target jamming technology. New research on ISRJ against different radar processing systems and different radar waveforms has become one of the hotspots in the current radar countermeasures field. In order to further clarify the characteristics of ISRJ and corresponding expanded application prospects, the background and basic principles of ISRJ has been reviewed firstly. Then, the detailed development history of ISRJ has also been outlined and the new ISRJ types were summarized and classified. At last, the expanded application of intermittent sampling in radar detection and other fields was introduced, aiming to provide some reference for experts and scholars.

Key words: intermittent sampling repeater jamming, coherent jamming, multiple false targets jamming, preceded false targets
